2009 United Nations Week of Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns
The 2009 Week of Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns honors the 2009 International Year of Reconciliation, the 2009 International Year of Human Rights Learning, and the Decade of a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for Children of the World (2001-2010)in a week-long programs of events created to explore the very essence of the United Nation's commitment to the peaceful resolution of international issues of focused meditations, workshops, panel discussions, group interchanges, music and dance performances.The CSVGC-NY Universal Ethics Working Group presents a panel on Thursday, October 29th on "Opening Our Hearts to Empathy Through Story." This panel will be moderated by Martha Gallahue, of the National Service Conference of the American Ethical Union at the United Nations and Genie Kagawa, of the Universal Peace Federation.
